Black Coffee Raised Over R90K Towards SA's Solidarity Fund

DJ Black Coffee is on a mission to ensure that the poorest people in the country do not suffer the most due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the lockdown enforced, and almost coming to an end, people have been stock piling on essentials.

Many ZAlebs are doing their bit to assist the less privileged, for Coffee, ensuring that children are fed, elders have fresh, clean and safe water all year long, is his goal.

He is helping raise funds towards the solidarity fund set up by President Cyril Ramaphosa. He is doing this by spinning the decks and keeping SA entertained whilst raising funds for the betterment of everyone.

Black Coffee has managed to raise a R76K through his free streaming live concert, called Home Brewed 001,

He recently revealed on social media that they managed to raise over R90 000 the whole of last week.

“During these hard times as we battle this evil virus, there are many out there suffering for basic necessities. While these issues are being scratched to the surface during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s a real eye-opener as to how we can be helping year-long to feed the children, keep elders with fresh water supply and many others in need,” he wrote.

He also acknowledged people from other countries who put in forward whatever they could to help ensure South African’s underprivileged are well fed and safe.

“I’ve created a @gofundme page to help fundraise towards @coronacaresa who is assisting in keeping a wide-spread of smaller organizations running that aid in bringing basic necessities like water and food to those in true need in South Africa. By keeping these organizations running, we keep our country strong!”

The hitmaker is planning on raising more funds this week with his new set Home Brewed 002.
