Generations actress Manaka Ranaka has knocked over and killed a schoolgirl in a car accident.

Generations: The Legacy star Manaka Ranaka was involved in a tragic accident in Roodekop, East Rand that claimed the life of a schoolgirl.

The actress reportedly knocked down the Grade 12 pupil on the R554 road to Leondale near the N3 highway to Durban on Friday, according to a Sowetan Live report.

She reportedly had been crossing the highway at the time of the accident.

The matric pupil was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the publication.
