Big Brother's Mandla admits to irresponsible sex

'Big Brother Mzansi' winner Mandla Hlatshwayo has admitted that it was irresponsible of him to not condomise during his steamy antics on the show.

The 24-year-old spaza shop owner made waves during the reality show's "shower hour" some two weeks ago, when he and fellow-contestant Lexi van Niekerk had unprotected sex on live, national television.

Mandla during his subsequent diary session requested the morning-after pill from Big Brother, this despite the fact that condoms are in abundance in the infamous reality TV house, seeing as how the show is sponsored by condom brand Lovers Plus.

According to The Star, Mandla owned up to the fact that they were careless and irresponsible, saying: "It was a heated moment. I do feel that we should have been responsible, as condoms were a few metres (away)."

Mandla, the father of a two-year-old son, after his victory admitted that there was a lady in his life before he entered the 'Big Brother' house, but claimed that things were complicated.

He also said his ex wasn't speaking to him and that their relationship had "challenges", but that he would like to make peace.

"I want to explain myself so we can part ways the best way we can," he said.

When asked what he plans to do with his R1 million prize money, Mandla recently told the Sowetan that he was "two months overdue on papgeld, so that is the first thing I must attend to before anything else".
