What's Hot: Another disappointing episode on OPW

Nqobile Kubheka is thoroughly unimpressed with this season of Our Perfect Wedding. What annoyed her this week though?

Again, OPW has disappointed us.

Seriously – 5 episodes into season 4 and we’re still struggling to be convinced by not only the presenter, Tumi Morake but the couples on display too. Such boredom so far!

Yesterday’s couple, Pelaelo and Sifiso were shockingly boring for their age. Even without the expected drama and intriguing family politics, at the very least, we expect the couples to put together an all-round entertaining wedding.

There was almost a moment of excitement when we thought we saw Jub-Jub Maarohanye as one of the groomsmen – only to find it was just a look alike! The resemblance was extremely uncanny though.

But, sadly, it was not to be. The bride, Pelaelo was a ball of naivity. Which, off hand may seem cute and adorable, but in reality it all came crashing down with her Tinkerbell themed wedding. The bridesmaids' first attire looked like over-sized Cinderella dresses and the traditional dresses they changed into looked like high school tunics. No! This does not work.

Meanwhile, the groom looked to have given in to his wife’s Barbie doll wishlist when he agreed to wear a screaming taffeta waist coat.

Sifiso – bless his soul, is quite the looker. He doesn't look a day over 25 but that is what good genes do for you I guess. He tried his hand at serenading his wife while wearing a traditional outfit he and his groomsmen had put together, and well really, that was all.

All in all we give this wedding a 5 out of 10. Here's where they lost the points;

1.       The Tinkerbell/Cinderella theme is so 3 year old birthday party – not a wedding
2.       The groom was wearing “black cat” Carvella shoes.
3.       The bridesmaids dresses were hideous.
4.       The brides dress was unexciting and looked cheap really.
5.       The veil that we were so excited to see her in was so underwhelming!

Needless to say we are dreading the next episode – something’s got to give #OPW, otherwise we will no longer rush home after Sunday lunch at Mom’s to catch these episodes. Watching the show has become incredibly anticlimatic.
